I have contact 2's all round and now need a new pair of rears 255/40/17 having difficulty finding them. Does anyone know if they are still available ? or have the contact 3's been N rated. Don't want to have to change the fronts as well to have the same all round as they are in good nick.

Any knowledge appreciated

Hi Richard

I had been using the ContiSport contact N2 for 11 years on My Targa (17") and got a nail in the rear one last year and found they don't make them and the N3 are not Porsche Rated
I ended up with the Michelin Pilit sport N rated on the rear and still have the conti on the front. Before I did this checked with Chris at Centre Gravity if this was a good mix. He said yes. The rears are very stick especially with the heat from the engine and the hard Contis for the front. Had them on a year now and got use to them.

Hope that helps

Graham

Thanks Graham, Maurice. I had my tyre supplier contact Conti and they admitted that they are no longer available. The 2's from Mytyres are run flats so not sure. I'm disappointed as I have been using nothing but Conti's on all my cars for years. Think I might go for the mix, as Graham has, as my fronts are almost unworn.

ALthough the forum has me down as a guest I am a member. The clubs IT dept are sorting it out.
Cheers

Richard
