Righto Fellas,
A small prize sent to you if you can figure this out,first one to give the right answer will have this car related (useful) prize sent to them !
Story:
Car was taken apart last year to fit a Lambda probe into the exhaust cross over pipe to run an AFR gauge, snapped off various studs in the turbo outlet pipe so a strip down was on the books, then put back together, since then i have had an intermittent fault, now and again a backfire on boost and a hesitance to pull, back off and it cleared ?
Eventually last week i thought i had it sussed, i found a cracked inlet tube on the one way vacuum valve, so replaced and everything was fine !
Need to put a few miles shakedown on now as i have just changed belts with the Germany trip coming up, today no misfire but still a hesitance intermittently to pull, but fine most of the time, got to be fuel or ignition which has been checked and double checked ?
So bonnet up again and i have sorted it hopefully...........what was it ?

Keep guessing lads, turned out that by having things apart everything pointed to something I hAd done, this was the case with the backfire but the hesitancy turned out to be unrelated.

No still no correct answer, Barks it was further up the downpipe from the turbo outlet, it is now fitted in the crossover pipe under the transmission tunnel, how will this affect longevity ?
 
Barks, it is on the outlet side not the feed. I felt that the bung from Porsche was too near the Turbo housing.
 
Sounds like split rubber coupler to the intercooler, but if its in the area of the exhaust

One of the bungs was loose?
missing or loose exhaust 'gasket' coupler

if not the suggestions above......

you found it....it was simple.....bonnet up....quick fix......

......the one way valve in the vacuum system was installed in the reverse direction.

(hesitation was probably due to consequent fuel damper fluctuating....)

You really know how to get people hooked, don't you!

As a complete non-techie and knowing not how these things work, the question I am asking myself is whether something was put back into the hole the Lambda sensor used to be in. My previous thought ref sticking throttle appears to have been dismissed already.
