Colour Crested Wheel Centres

Is it just me! but in the five years I've had my 996 Ive had to replace the above three times [:mad:]. Does anyone have any tips to make sure the centres stay in place please?

Also as far as I know you can only buy them in sets of 4 - is this right? Any suggestions as to where to buy? I normally go to Design 911. Thanks in advance for the help [:D]

You could try going along to the Autojumble at Husborne-Crawley this Saturday - the wheel centres are a common item there (brand new - and much cheaper than at the OPC.... I bet they buy them in France at the OPC where they are about half the UK price...[&:])

I've bought mine from Jasmine - and they were quite happy to sell me a single replacement when the crest fell off. I added a smear of silicone sealant around the crests now and have had no trouble since.

Mark's suggestion about the Husbourne Crawley Autojumble on Saturday is a good one - I've seen them there for half price.

Hi,

have just replaced all x4 on my Sport Design wheels - not cos the crests fell out (wasn't aware that this was a problem...erk!), but because they faded so badly.

Anyhow, bought mine from Carnewal.

Gert from Carnewal recommended I go for the larger crested caps (seen on the r/h side here, against the originals which have smaller crests), which are cheaper too:

I'm glad I took his advise cos they (IMHO) do look better (fresher looking, and slightly more modern).

They're original Porsche parts too and cost EUR117 (GBP 80), including delivery (from Belgium).

(they arrived the next day (!!) via FedEx, who have a great shipping system which allows you to see exactly where your consignment is)

Try Ebay, type in Porsche Felgendeckel and take your pick. All substantially cheaper than UK suppliers!
