i brought a 1988 170K silver 944 with celebration interior and split rear seats but have no paperwork

does anybody have any info so i can track previous owners down

cheers

nice one Elliot.![;)]

Any chance of a picture of the car and under the bonnet for identification?

if you let us have the colour code and Vin number as well someone will be able to check their reference books and hopefully add some information. Split rear seats is a sure sign of a special and co-incidentally it is one of the features of a 1000 production run of a sport model available in 88 according to Cotton and is the subject of a recent thread about Ventiler cars.

Not on the Club database. The Celebration cars were a small number - IIRC only 30?

The differences were body-colour teledial wheels, to match the silver paintwork [&:], and the unique interior. There was a lot of interest in sourcing the material a while ago, it's unobtainable but I never heard whether the German company who carry the rare Porsche fabrics could help.

I think we have two Celebration cars within the Club, I don't remember that reg no. being on either of them. If you mail me the chassis number I can check under that and see if it was on a different plate?

IIRC correctly Paul, the wheels were also 16"s in diameter.

The fabric people can remanufacture the material, but they have quite a large minimum order size I believe, and its really expensive too...

Hi,
I have a Celebration 944 as well which I bought off a club member last year. My car is pretty mint apart from some wear on the drivers seat so if anyone fancies getting some of the fabric made or sourced I would be willing to contribute.
