Thanks bradster

As Paul says,
But 1st bi-carbonate of soda, plenty of it and leave to soak for a day.

Got mine nice and clean but the plastic is off colour wasn't happy so bought a new one [:D][:D]

Old school Persil. Washing powder is brilliant and its good for cleaning your hands too. Nothing will get it as clean.

I had a new one on a nearly new car a long time ago. It wasnt terribly expensive but it yellowed VERY quickly, so wouldnt advise it for purely cosmetic reasons.

Can you remember how much the new one was Andy?

Bought the new expansion tank in June 2006 part no. p944. 125. 06 for £50.66, maybe made of different grade plastic these days to the one Simon had, but it has not discoloured and is as new today.

No worries Steve your welcome

I have also changed the Washer fluid reservoir, Clutch & brake fluid bottles and the power steering reservoir, let me know if you need part nos & prices [:D][:D][:D]
