Child seats

I'm posting this here as i'm not sure if I can post on the 'Members for sale' area now i'm not a member! Anyway i'm selling my Brittax St Anton child seat which has been a discontinued model for about 5 or so years now, but was the seat that came up in Brittax's car selector against the 944/968 option suitable for both rear seats and the front passenger seat. It can be used with both three-point seatbelts and lap belts.

It is pretty much the same as our newer Brittax seat, which is only a few years old and was a current model as recently as last year, but the base and chassis is narrower so fits nicely in the 944 seats - almost a custom fit. It is the type of seat that tensions against the seatbelt against the give in the seat padding. The seat fits snuggly in the rear seats and in-between the front sports seats bolsters. I have to be honest and though this is the right seat for 944's/968's according to Brittax I very rarely used it in the rear seat position as I could never get it to fit absolutely securely as there is little or no give in the rear seats cushioning so there was a bit of play. Having said that due to this I fail to see how any car seat, even Porsches 'proper' seat, would be any better as they all work off the same principle. Also you are simply struggling for room in the rear, especially if you have someone in the seat in front so the seat can't be slid fully forward (unless the occupant had very short legs, or none at all).

Nevertheless it does fit fine and I used it several times in the rear position, and no doubt would be effective if the worst was to happen, god forbid. It does fit extremely securely in the front passenger seat though - as securely as any modern child seat i've ever used in a modern car, and that is the position I used it in most of the time. My daughter loved it and still often asks if "We're going in the fast car". The seat is in great nick, never been involved in a crash, and has not had any bodily fluids spilt on it - however I will wash the seat cover anyway (it is removable and machine washable). I bought the seat brand new, sealed in plastic and boxed.

Anyway, rather than selling on that well known auction site I thought i'd first of all offer it on here. Asking price is £30 plus p&p. Drop me a pm if you're interested. I will post photo's over the weekend. Cheers.

Thanks Andy. I got it and have sent a reply. Just to clarify, this is a baby seat, i.e. the first stage front facing seat. I think it is rated from about 9kg's to 36kg's. My daughter used it from about 8 months to 3rys.
