Child seats - can someone lend me some?

Chaps,

Very long shot, but it would be helpful if I could borrow some child seats to fit in my S2, this weekend. The story is quite long, but essentially we are going to see some friends in Derbyshire, and it would be helpful if we could bring their two children back south and leave them with their grandparents, who live close to us.

We have no kids, so all I know about child seats in a 944 is that most of them don't fit! (My initial solution was to use the car seats the children normally use in their parents' car, but I am guessing they probably won't work.) The children in question are a boy aged 7 and a girl aged 4.

My car is an S2 coupe, with 3-point belts in the rear. I'm in London and would be more than happy to collect and return the seats within a reasonable distance, and leave a deposit for their value to guarantee their safe return.

I know this is a very long shot as most people who have child seats also have children who need to use them! And I need not just one but two such seats ... as I said, long shot. If you can help then let me know. The alternative is to borrow (or hire) a more regular car which the children's existing seats would fit into.

I'd lend you mine but they have gone off with my parents for a week. To be honest, you won't get anything to fit other than a booster seat, and the best fitting booster seats I have found are the ones for £9 in Halfords. You are probably best off just buying a couple and being done with it.

Thanks ... that sounds like helpful advice. There are other options on the table at the moment (courtesy of the hugely-helpful ChrisG on here), but I'll look into it.

Oli, I live in Derby. You can borrow my Brittax St Anton if you like - it does fit in the seats as it is the seat i've mentioned in several child seat threads and it does fit snuggly in the rear buckets. Though I was never 100% happy with the fitment in the rear, as i've mentioned on recent threads, you are welcome to borrow it. Would be interesting to see it fitted in another car to see if it fits better than it did in mine.
