checking the clutch?

Hi,

I've recently had a new clutch master cylinder fitted and the car drives great. I went up the motorway to visit my Mum the other weekend and the car flew up there lovely.
But I have heard that if you put too much strain on the clutch then it might need replacing. I had a bit of trouble getting the car home from the garage a few months ago before I got the master cylinder replaced (had to drive it home in third all the way). Is there a way to see if the clutch is still in good nic? I am trying to sell the car, so I would like it to be in as good a condition as possible for whoever buys it.

If its driving ok with no slipping under hard acceleration etc then its ok.
There is no easy way of checking.
I doubt if one journey is going to do much damage.
 
Well you can tell if its on its last legs. Stick the handbrake on, put it in gear and let clutch out. If the engine doesn't stall your clutch is gone!
