No fully restored factory race car should be on the top of the list, people should be shot for taking all the history away by fully restoring a race car,60% of proving correct cars is in the patina and war wounds etc.Sympathetic restoration is the way forwards if you have to.
The Americans are just getting it now.
The minters from new would generally be on the same level as a good ex racer, there are the exceptions like the 16 milers etc there are those that collect minters for there collection and those who like to get them out and use them by buying race historied cars, both are prepared to pay top dollar for the right car.
The 964rsr factory cars will be one of the cars to have in the future, now sounding like des!
The MP car is a good car that's gone through some period development, which is allowed, its dam quick also, probably with the best engine out there on Throttle slides etc.
The chassis is very good with some small war wounds. The price has been increased also.
We entered the first gt 90 round, the problem with the gt90 is the high entry fees to be able have track time with the fia gt rounds.
If any one is interested,i am requesting the club get a race slot in next years Silverstone classic, and would like numbers of cars who would like to race in say a 5 or 6 car class race, from 2.0 ltr 911,914 etc up to the 993gt2.
I think the club should be back at silverstone classic with a racing representation.
There was a distinct lack of porsche at Silverstone classic.
