CHATSWORTH 28TH OF JUNE

carrera7

New member
As you may have noticed entry forms are no longer being sent out with Porsche Post ( Credit Crunch again). If you require an entry form please send me your email address and I will email by return. The competition is wide open this year so please participate. Brand new cars will NOT be winning so get polishing. RO

Hi Patrick,

I've sent you a couple of PM's but not heard anything back re Chatsworth.

Am I OK to enter concours/pay on the day (assume entry fee like previous years?) as obviously too late to get sorted before Sun? Plus what time do we need to be there??

Cheers and see you Sun.[;)]

Craig

Hi Craig

OK to enter concours on the day - please ask for Nigel Graham when you arrive from around 10.00am.

Cost on the day for the event is £10 which includes free entry to the concours.

See you on Sunday - Randolph

PS weather forecast for Sunday looks good

Randolph - what is latest I can get there and get in the concours? (not that my old banger has any chance but hey its nice to be part) - I'm not sure what time I can get up for as morning may be a bit tricky[&o]

Looking forward to Chatsworth. Am from R7 and went to Harewood House the other week. My first time attending anything like this as only had my Boxster a few weeks. I must say, they are lovely cars and, like all Porsches, a boyhood dream (but can now actually afford one). Will there be any trade stands or chance to purchase bitz n pieces? as was a bit disappointed at Harewood, expected some sort of autojumble. See you all there. I have entered the concours although don't think my 12 year old car is not quite pristine, but am working on it with polish/wax etc. Still - you never know!

what part of chatsworth grounds is it being held in? and are there any traders going to be there (for parts etc)

There won't be any traders. They are not allowed. What you find is that many of these types of venues (Stately homes etc) will allow you to use the premises providing their is no money being made...ie no traders or stalls.

Its a shame but this is a fantastic venue and normally attracts a lot of cars.

Bring a picnic and just chill and chat!

I'll be another crossover from R7 provided my rebuilt starter motor comes back today! I've also only had this particular car a couple of weeks and it by no means warrants entry into the concours, maybe something for the future when I have had a chance to do some work on her. Is it just a case of turning up at the venue with everyone else or is the idea to put all the Porsche's together, regardless of whether they're in the competition or not?

(Sorry to sound a bit clueless but this will only be my second event)

Thanks Randolph. Will get there for 10am.

Finishing my car off today and looking forward to some great weather- bring sunscreen [8D]

Thanks to Randolph and Jason for answering questions. As some of you know my father in law was involved in the bad accident on the A46 on the first of june and died the following day which was before the Photo shoot. Jayne's sister was in hospital having surgery and I was trying to run two surgeries with no staff. Thanks for your support including the chairman and regional director.
with regard to trade stands Jason is spot on when I tried to get Chatsworth for the National event as soon as I mentioned tradestands they wanted a sum of £20,000. which is totally out of the question. If you want interest I will offer to do the full monty if you are that bored with Porsches, which I doubt. Regards Patrick RO

many thanks fo a great day.

+1 regarding Ian's comments, another great day at Chatsworth for Region 8. As a regular visitor to the event, thanks and well done guys.

Des..

Des I think it was you behind us on the M1, you pulled off for Chatsworth whilst we went a bit further south for Super car Sunday Gaydon. I think it will be Chatsworth next year.

Any silver to report?

I agree, great day and although weather could have been better, at least the rain kept off.
Nice to see my red boxster in the photo (3rd from bottom)
See you at Blenheim (just bought tickets for Saturday)

Thank you for your compliments. I have been asked by "our Barry" to take the new regional Gazebo to blenheim. If I can get support to put it up and man it I will consider this. At Ragley it was a solo effort which I could not repeat.
