I will be interested to hear that reply. I hope it is not too long in coming as I have to commit to something soon.

I have a choice of three events on that Saturday. At two of them my 944 will be made very welcome and its presence will help to raise money for deserving charities. The third event is the one at Chateau Impney where I am not sure either applies. I'd love to be proved wrong and take part in a celebration of the 944.

Honestly though, if we're having to make this much fuss in order to get anything at all it speaks volumes for the value PCGB puts on us as members and on our cars.

ts a shame you have to be a paid up member to goto the 30th as im sure there would be plenty of people wanting to go, I just cant justify the membership fee or id be going. shame.

I don't think you do need to be a member to attend? You can buy a ticket like anyone else. I'm not sure, but that's how it usually works. I'd imagine that the 944 parking area would be open to non-members as well, the whole idea is to get as many of us together as possible.

A lot of the smaller Club events, like the Cotswold Rally, are members-only; there are a lot of member benefits and they are, of course, for people who pay. The big national event has always been open to the public in my time, though. []

To me that is one good reason to join the Club. There are many other too.

The members pay their yearly fees and contribute the wellbeing of the club and its community.

I know they should be allowed some perks and exclusivity at events like this is the last we can try and do.

I am working on the site plan with the events team.

If I can identify a large enough space I will work with the Register Director and Register Secretary to help make this happen if at all possible.

Thanks Peter, your input is appreciated, I have emailed Alan to bring it to his attention.

Regarding Membership, it is £66 first year then £56 after that, I think it is well worth it with Club discounts on Insurance, parts and Servicing at OPC to name a few, plus a Monthly Mag. But for this occassion it would be good just to get as many 944's together regardless of whether they are Members or not.

In addition, how many cars do you think you can amass for the Register Day on Sept 8th in Derby? It would be a good occasion to celebrate there also, especially as there is not a problem with space.

dont you think as administrators you should be singing from the same hymn sheet? So can I attend or not?

I'm speculating here but for the last goodness knows how many years the answer/s is:-

There is nothing to stop you attending assuming you pay the entry fee.

If there is "Register" parking this will accommodate members of the "Register". If there is s sufficient space this could be thrown open to any Porsche of that type. This is generally the norm.

If there is s specific display for pre-arranged specific cars, limited by number, these will be Club Members cars. If, for example, the display was 10 cars how would a member feel if their car was not included but the car of a non member were?
