Hello, I have had two "calamities" recently "" firstly, window-closing stopped working with the remote control, even though the cabriolet roof would open and close. I took it to an auto-electrician, who assured me that he could fix it, and while I looked on, he tore the top off the sensor device under the bonnet "" evidently breaking something because, thereafter, the roof wouldn't open or close and the doors wouldn't lock or unlock with the remote. I rapidly took it away before any more damage could be done, particularly as he told me that it would cost a lot of money (mine) to put right... to be continued...
Secondly, after a particularly heavy, persistent, downpour of rain, I discovered that the canvas roof was leaking and that two bucketfuls of water were in the rear passenger compartment of the car. Thereafter, (after partial drying out) the alarm would be set off every few minutes, so that I had to disconnect the battery. I am about to embark on treating the roof with Renovo Ultraproofer, after cleaning it. Now, after complete drying out, the alarm doesn't function and "" more importantly "" the central locking does not work. I cannot lock either door with the key. Whenever I leave the car, I have to get in through the passenger door to manually lock the driver's door and then manually lock the passenger door and slam it shut. I can unlock either door with the key but the central unlocking does not work. Can anyone, please, tell me where the fault with the central locking might lie? I cannot find any reference to a fuse to protect the circuit and all fuses appear to be intact.Thank you.Richard
