Center Gravity 996 Suspension Upgrades

Ohlins vs COG.
May i ask if anyone has experience with the Ohlins shocks on the softest setting?... on the PDF above they are detailed as more sporty than the stock setup (as expected) but given they are full adjustable with rebound/compression in a single knob, and the dual valve touted as "road and track” I wonder if they could also be considered a GT contender on their softest setting?
I fully expect that given spring rate is fixed, the knob simply means well matched damping/compression, or poorly matched, and compliance can’t be meaningfully adjusted.
