Cayman S Light Fault

Hi All,
following a visit to Swindon PC yesterday, our Cayman S has been diagnosed as needing a replacement light control unit. The drivers info system was showing rear indicator bulb failure but having checked, that was fine, hence handing the car over to the OPC. The diagnosis took quite a few hours so I'm guessing this isn't a common fault?
Thankfully all this is under warranty.....
There was suggestion that non-Porsche spec bulbs had been fitted (are Porsche bulbs any different?), but the car was as supplied used by the centre and originally registered as a company vehicle at Reading!
Anyone else had similar problems?
