Just had our Cayman S recovered to the dealership as there was a terrible shrieking sound coming from the engine once up to temp. It sounds a bit like a slipping belt but continues for a second or two after the engine stops. The car also stalled a few times and was a little reluctant to restart.
The slightly more worrying problem was a large puff of blue smoke on startup even though it had only sat overnight, plus a smaller puff each subsequent startup. [
] I know the flat 6 design can allow oil to pool in the barrels when left for long periods, but not for such a short time surely?
Has anyone else had similar issues?
