Cayman S 3.4 987.2 front hubs

I have purchased a Cayman race car and need to identify the hubs currently on the car. The part numbers are 997341657AR AS001 N/S and 997341658AR AS001 O/S Made in Germany. I have tried many breakers who can supply hubs which are standard Cayman hubs which have the first part of the number but are made in Italy and do not have the AS001 Made in Germany stamped on them. My local Porsche dealership advises its only a casting number and they can’t advise what Vehichle the hubs are from! I’ve attached a photograph of the ones I’m looking for, there are two bolts holes in the top and a deep hole for the bottom ball joint which is clearly different from the standard ones that only have one bolt hole in the top and a shallow hole for the bottom ball joint. Any help would be appreciated.

According to the PET for a 987.2 CS the L/H and R/H hub part numbers are 997 341 157 25 and 997 341 158 25 or similar. I thought they could be from a 997 GT3 or GT2/Turbo, but apparently not since their part numbers are very similar to those for the Cayman, only differing in the last two digits.

Maybe they're specials from a Porsche tuning house, although the +500 increment in the third number block would indicate an official Porsche revised pattern part.

Darren. You say it is a race car; was it built for a specific series or just as a one off? If the former, there may be some build specification papers lodged somewhere.

 
That's very odd Darren. As I said, the PET for a 997 GT3 (2007-2011) gives the part numbers as 997 341 157 93 (or 94/95) and 997 341 158 93 (or 94/95) for the L/H and R/H hubs respectively. Presumably the slightly different part number was given to the German manufactured part to distinguish it from its Italian counterpart?

Anyway, pleased to hear that the mystery has been solved, and it would make sense to use the GT3 part for a race car. Pre-empting the GT4 by a few years too.!
