Cayman GTS4.0 & East London OPC

Hi All,

I'm a newbie to the brand.

Can't recommend Nasir and Porsche East London enough. My experience so far has been great......

[ol][*]April 2021 Accepted a deposit on a 718 GT4 without any previous Porsche buying experience! I'm coming from a sequence of M5's, E39, E61, F10 and F90 [*]Called in Dec 2021 confirming a March 2022 build slot with an April delivery time[*]Called in Feb 2022 stating a delay to June delivery due to the Ukraine situation[*]Escaped 2x price rises OPC honoured the original price set in April 2021![*]Car is now with OPC awaiting prep PPF etc for pick-up in early July.[/ol]This is the spec if interested PNK883M7

Can't wait now to pick it up will post some pictures from the day.

I have finally received confirmation of build slot 29/07 to 26/08 and estimated delivery in September, need to lock my spec tomorrow! I think the dealer might have had insight of This some time ago but has only now informed me upon my prompting over the wknd. Anyways, happy days - the games back on and counting down the next ~80ish days 😉😁 👍🏻

Great news! Doubtless the dealer would have known before, given that you need to lock the spec tomorrow. Trust you've got that all finalised?

Each time I look at the Configurator I start convincing myself that another option has become "essential" so getting to the Lock Spec stage would be a blessing.

I think the only reason I got a build date is because the dealer was fed up with my constant spec and configuration changes.

ive changed car colour, transmission, wheels colour, interior trim, seatbelt colours, lighting / mirrors packages about 10 times each!

And I’m pretty much back at where I started… 🤷‍♂️😁

(frozen berry paint with matching wheels, cream and tan leather interior with lizard green belts and dial faces 😉🫣😵‍💫) 👍🏻

[8|] Disappointed to see no Mahogany trim Windy!

I've only made one revision to my initial spec, but feel another tweak coming on. I wonder if anyone actually ever removes an option?

Damn it - missed mahogany as a option…!

I took out auto-dimming mirrors and rain sensitive wipers. I decided I didn’t need another ‘computer’ somewhere in the car deciding when to dip mirrors / operate wipers.

But hey, if I had my way the car would come with a cassette player too…. 😉

We’ll at long last she’s actually been built and has rolled out of the factory line and is now sat in Port of Emden, some 2 months behind the planned build schedule 😳

hopefully on a ship this Friday and in the dealer next weekend (hopefully) 🤞
