Hi
has anyone found anyone able to rectify this error for sensible cost ? I have a 2010 Hybrid and the Audi S4 derived supercharged engine is apparently known for throwing this error code because of airways in the cylinder heads getting blocked with carbon (and other junk). The 'fix' is to either remove the engine completely or to remove the front of the car (including the radiators and zircon radiators) taking a load of pipework off the block and then use a glorified pipe cleaner (or a drill) to clean the carbon from the airways before reassembly. There are a number of video's online showing this process.
apparently Audi have a way to do it in situ using a very high pressure water jet (to cut the carbon) - but my local Audi dealer won't talk to me as it's a Porsche! they separate the cats from the exhaust, remove the spark plugs and then use a flexible hose with a water cutting tool to insert into the airway and clean out the carbon. Do any OPC's have access to this kit?
my local Porsche specialist has suggested between £3.5k and £5k for this work - which is mental on a car with only just over 50k miles
Has anyone found a better solution/specialist who can do this for sensible money ?
TIA
Mark
