Cayenne Electric Turbo - Various Serious Issues

Hi, I am a recent member, although have had many Porsche Vehicles over the years. Just took delivery on Friday of a new Cayenne Electric Turbo, only to experience very worrying 4x4 System Failure / Start Button Failure warnings if the Dealer fitted Vodafone S5 tracker key fob is not present in the car / the car times out looking for it, e.g. when you have opened the car, yet have to put things in the boot / kids in their seats etc.

Firstly is this normal, and has anyone else experienced this ? Also the Porsche Connect App, will not show me battery range / %. Maybe something has been damaged when the tracker was installed, as the sales guy from Porsche Cambridge said it took all day to fit it.

Regards James

Give it back to the dealer and tell them to correct all and every fault.. very bad form they handed a brand new car over with so many issues

Only thing that "may be expected" is the generic white faults "all" modern Porsches suffer from (Is that your "start button failure warnings ???) .. ie when you start it you will get up to 9 (is my max) notifications of all the driver aids failing (lane control, adaptive speed control, speed recognition, lane assist etc) .. these are generally cleared by turning car off, opening drivers door, closing driver door (needed to fool car you have actually left and it needs to complete its shut down), sit a few mins and restart. If they don't clear you may have a dirty forward facing camera or it was facing into direct sunshine when you started the car.

However all the others faults you mention are not to be expected

App shows battery status on my MY 2024 eHybrid and as battery status is a fundamental data point for an EV, IMO yes you should be able to see it in the app for your vehicle

I agree, and I have told them I am going to reject the car. I know the PR team and some of the Board members in Germany. Straight away their exec complaints guys engaged with me, although are trying to claim this is as expected.

The battery percentage was fine on my MY22 Panamera Turbo S-eHybrid last week. They have said there is a fault with Macan EV as well as Cayenne EV. If this were the case there would be a lot more noise.

Agree very poor show. Trying to find someone with a Cayenne EV to find out if they have the battery % issue

They are not the "white faults" I mentioned that many of us get and live with .. if it was my car I'd also be rejecting it

Best of luck in getting to resolution and then been able to enjoy your new car
