[FONT=calibri"]Castle Combe have just announced that the free passes are no longer available for car clubs to put on a show for them.[FONT=verdana, geneva"]
[FONT=calibri"]We can still go as a club, have a stand and display our Porsches but there will be a charge of £15 per car and up to 3 passengers.[FONT=verdana, geneva"]
[FONT=calibri"]Personally I like attending the action days and have done since joining the club when Tony and Harriet were running our region.[FONT=verdana, geneva"]

[FONT=calibri"]I think it is a backward step for them to take but I am happy to carry on with the action days, for the spring day we need at least 8 cars and they will have to be booked and paid for by the end of January to get a good pitch (earlier if possible) [FONT=verdana, geneva"]
[FONT=calibri"]Having said that, if we don’t support Castle Combe there is always Shelsley Walsh, Prescott and other events that will be welcome of our support.[FONT=verdana, geneva"]

[FONT=calibri"]Can we have some views on this please and feel free to say whatever you think[FONT=verdana, geneva"]

I too enjoy attending the Castle Combe Action Days but TBH the only reason I wanted the pass was to park on the club stand! Too many other cars on track for me to risk my pride and joy so the loss of this for me is not a biggie. £15 a session is still a good deal for a taster - CC is a great track, but I agree it's disappointing that the CC administrators have just removed the freebie and not offered a reduced rate for club attendees in it's place.

im fine for the spring action day Stuart and happy to pay for it when ever you want the money , put me on the list please
cheers
paul

Just to clarify Gary, the £15 is just an entry fee for the stand. You still have to pay for track time and no you would not want to take your pride and joy out with that lot.

Paul, thanks for that and lets see who else will be interested

Hi Stuart,
Count me in for Castle Combe, can you let me know when you need the money, look forward to it.
Thanks
Martin

Ok so we are half way there maybe its not so bad after all.
Thanks for the above reply's, I will send out a reminder email for club night next week and include this plus some other events coming up to see how much more interest we can get

Thanks Guys
with the reply's from our mailshot and on here we are 8 definite and another 3 possible so far, this means it will definitely go ahead.
I will get back to you all regarding the payment and how to do it later.
Cheers

Hi I would love to go and am very willing to pay £15, can you tell me the date it is on please.

Cheers Paul

Hi Paul
I believe the Castle Combe Action Day dates are:
2nd April
25th June
10th Sept
1st Oct

Keep an eye on this forum + R16's calendar (click on regions & registers tab at the top of the page - then South West - then Gloucester region)
You can also e-mail or phone our regional organisers Stuart or Elaine (details on the regional calendar)
Hope this helps

Thanks Nick and Hi Paul

Yes the date is 2nd April, I am just putting together a newsletter for the region and in that will be details of how to
pay for the tickets.
I will also post the details here later today with the cut off date.

Thanks for your interest

Stuart

[FONT=calibri"]Thanks to everyone that has informed us of ticket purchases, there seems to have been a couple of problems but we have had a good response for this event.[FONT=verdana, geneva"]
[FONT=calibri"]Just a reminder[FONT=verdana,geneva"]
[FONT=calibri"]There is a cut-off date Tuesday 23 Feb (tomorrow) for anyone else to buy your ticket as we will need to send the entry form off to Combe with the number required [FONT=verdana, geneva"]

[FONT=calibri"]Stuart[FONT=verdana,geneva"]

I'm intending to come in April but (very sadly) can't go on track as my car is waaaay above their very humble sound limit [:(]

Mike
will be good to see you but unless you have already bought a ticket you won't be able to park on our stand, will have to be in the public parking, if you do then please come and say hello.
you certainly won't want to take your pride and joy on track with the standards they allow, makes it good to watch though.

Stuart

Oh, who do I need to get a ticket from to get on the stand ? I was just about to go to the CC site but if I need to get one from PCGB, I will. Or have they all gone ?
