Carbon Fibre Parts Required

Ex Skyline

New member
Hi all, this has probably been discussed a zillion times but.........does anyone know if carbon fibre parts are available for the 944 turbo? I would be very interested to purchase a raw carbon fibre bonnet and bridge spoiler at the very least. Please excuse my ignorance. I purchased the car last september but have done nothing with it yet as i have been busy finishing off "Yobo" (my 1959 split screen panel van track weapon). I am now ready, however, to commence activities on the 944. Let the fun begin! Cheers all.

Hi Pete, there are a few people doing carbon pieces for the 944, I can recommend both of the following firms:

http://gt-racing.com/
http://v-zweeden.com/

I'm sure there are others, but I can't think of them at the moment.

This one has been discussed before, very light and looks great. Don't know anyone using it though but its less than half the weight of the GRP one on my race car

Another one is http://www.rsr-racing.net/dox/price_UK.html

Should be very high quality - and look at the weight - 2,5 kilo for a front bonnet!!

Wahnsinn as they say in the Fatherland :)

Happy weekend!

That is the lightest I have seen. The roof panel is also pretty amazing but would be wise to combine with a cage that cross braces the roof like the CustomCages design. On mine the roof panel is basically just the stock sunroof panel without the headlining bit, then bonded in place. Not sure I would feel comfortable with something really flimsy above my head and a nothing else up there. The weight saving of several Kg though right at the top of the car is pretty attractive.

Thank you very much for your replies chaps. Some of that kit looks awesome indeed! Is there a British agent/dealer for the RSR Racing or the GT Racing kit does anyone know or, is it down to mail order from abroad? Thanks fellas.

Simon at www.essentialstyling.com got me my GT Racing bits, but I'm not sure if he still gets involved with that sort of thing.

Patrick found some carbon doors, think they are in his thread
