hi guys ,

well my battery is toast! Tried to take car out tonight to pick up take away and gets some mileage on the new engine but no such luck ?? I only charged it yesterday so it’s no good.

i did buy it 4 years ago nearly and it has sat in The car for 3 years while I saved to do the engine rebuild so not surprising really.

problem I have is all the amps ect have all faded off the outside stickers so Im not sure of what one to buy next. This one was exide premium ? or something like that if I remember which had the circle window indicator ontop, although I’m not sure if this is the right type I should be buying for it or even if it matters as long as the AH is correct?

thanks for any help

Daniel

I always use Varta batteries from SYBs-who have a branch in Liverpool-just got a 63 Amp/hr for the track day car-cost £72 inc VAT-previously got a 72Amp/hr for my wife's 924S which gets a lot more -stop/starts cost £93-last one lasted 8/9 yrs

Thanks martin,

i ended up picking one up today after work from motorparts direct with bit of discount after work, I thought the same and ended up getting a 700 crank one with 5 years warranty think it is a 72ah ?
Going to fit it in a min as just got back from birthday party with kids so gonna try and put few mikes on her and brave the cold as kids are now in bed and need to reach 500 miles at least before the Dyno day or I won’t be happy that it’s honna get pushed hard ?? Don’t like the idea of it as it is but know it needs to be done in order to get it tuned correctly.

Thanks mate ??

Just to add - I use carparts4less rather than Eurocarparts. Same company, same site interface, but the CP4L website is cheaper - and has discounts etc. like the main ECP website.

Read the reviews first [8|] from experience [:(] Never had any trouble with Eurocarparts though.
