I'm going to be blunt. If you are undecided about whether to keep the car or not BUT a) want something else and b) have a couple of folk interested at £10k THEN - take the £10k.
If you decide later that you want a 944 turbo then you are likely to have the budget for a good one again later and you'd probably be better off (financially) buying one with a "new" engine rather than organising and paying for it yourself. Didn't JMG have a customer car (3.0l) up for sale for a while at around £12-£13k?
I don't think there are too many buyers out there spending £10k on a 944T (there are some of course) but, in the main, the vast majority of cars are sold below this figure.
