Cant unlock sunroof

Guys

Why cant i get the raising struts to unlock to allow me to lift sunroof out? It goes up and down fine just wont retract the supports

thanks for help in advance

With the key in the ignition you barely turn it on until it reaches the first position. Press the button to open the sunroof as normal, only now the arms will lower into the roof and you can lift the sunroof out.

If this does not happen with the key in the correct position then you may have a fault with the microswitch at the front centre of the sunroof. There is a very lengthy guide and troubleshooter to the sunroof on Clarks Garage:
