...a boot area carpet trim clip for me, please? One of the clips that holds the rear wing carpet trim pieces in place. I need the head diameter, overall length, shank diameter and the diameter of the 'tang'. If you can do this in an anal manner using a micrometer, as I would, then all the better! []

ford escort trim clips are the same size they are called fir tree clips there is a man on ebay who sells ten for about £5 bought 10 for the back of the 968 classic grey they look and fit perfect.

Thanks Martin. Im trying to identify the most likely replacements. I have my micrometer on my desk but cannot find the clip that I had intended to measure.

I was hoping to identify the closest match on eBay and check that they were suitable and then post in the reference section so that others could replace them cheaply and easily. I will measure these and take it from there.

Are they that expensive from OPC? I'm sure I bought a few a little while back when I wanted some hatch linkage clips and I don't remember them being that expensive.

That said, I do need to replace a few more, so if there are cheaper alternatives out there - great

Just checked the ebay link - ~£3 for ten sounds good

They also look to have the same finish on the heads, so a good match.

I did a quick search on ebay for black ones but many have smooth heads.
