Can i lubricate my spoiler mechanism?

Hi all
Just doing a bit of maintenance on my 1998 coupe.
I notice that the rear spoiler makes a sound as it gets to its highest point on raising. The bellows are new.
It's not audible from inside the car but i wanted to any future issues in the bud.
Do Porsche recommend anything for this purpose or are we supposed to leave it alone?
I was thinking of some WD40 on the arms that raise the spoiler.

Ours is later (2002) and I find the same. I have some rubber lubricant that I used to use on our 3.2 Carrera on the door window channels when they started to "stutter" on lowering and raising, so have tried that, which has improved, but not eliminated the noise.
 
I used Rocol PR Spray on the plastic bits on my spoiler. It is a mould release spray and makes the surface very slippery. Great for curtain tracks too. I suspect any decent silicone spray would work. Wurth do one which is good.

I had worried about lubricating it in case it attracted dust and made the situation worse. I will get some Rocol and see if that helps. Oddly, i have a sticky curtain track at home on one of the bay windows so me able to kill two birds with one stone.
