Des and Jon - could I take you up on the offer of your models for the top of the cake. Could you let me know if they're all the same size (1:43 ?) and also the approximate size of one car so I know how much space we need. I'll bring the cake and on Saturday we can put the cars on, take some photos then fill our faces.

The cake will be an authentic replica of the start/finish straight of a famous racetrack - well, as authentic as you can get with sponge and icing.

Hey, how about a hundreds-and-thousands gravel trap for Des's cars? [:D][;)]

With Jon and Des's toys we have 12 cars in total - has anyone else got 3 more to make 15 cars - 1 for each year?

15 Jahre Stickers on the cake too,...my two models one in Epson colours and one pure white are both 1/43 scale....
 
Have got 10 of the 1:43 cars, all different colours apart from 2 which are the same.
All stickered up. Can bring them on the saturday.

Thanks for volunteering your cars for the display. Could you post approx dimensions of one of the cars so I can work out how big the cake needs to be.

Any other 1:43 model collectors on here - we need three more to make 15?

Jeff - RSKiwi,

Would you you happy to use some of your cars as decoration on top of the cake - need a few more to make 15 in total. They won't get messy - just sitting on top of icing.

I feel a party coming on.....how about Saturday 6.00pm on the display, bring cold beer and something to nibble on.....
