Hi, cabin noise in my 718 GTS is intrusive for touring. What routes have other owners used to reduce this? I am considering blocking the sound symposer as a first step, followed by insulation to the rr wheel arches? Please advise, thanks Keith

Not sure if this will help, but just an observation.
I have 9for 10 years) a Boxster 987.2, 2009 and 93K miles. Used only for touring.
19" Bridgestone tyres and really quite wide.
Sure has road noise which I put down to the tyres, but mainly profile and width, esp the rears.
Got used to it all now.
I also have a 1973 911, modified for hillclimbs which means stiffly sprung, but now on 65 profile and 185 width Mich tyres.
Far quiteter on road noise. At the car's last repaint (5 years ago) I covered the entire inside shell with sound deadening pads, and forgot the weight.
Not sure the pads did much other than weigh about 8Kg, so I think it is all down to the tyres (dia and width).
The wheel width on the 19" rims is 10" and on the 911 the wheels are 7".
Just a thought.
