Hi all, especially those with a knowledge of the Cabriolet
My C2 Cab has developed a strange fault when folding the roof. As the roof folds when being lowered, rather than folding neatly into the deck area, a fold sits proud and covers the latch for the 'horseshoe' panel. When said panel closes, it nips the folded roof and is causing damage.
I compared the way my roof is folding to another Cab. The other car's roof folded neatly and was clear of the catch. I'm therefore pretty sure there is a problem with my roof; just not certain what has caused it and how to remedy the situation. I can get around the problem by stopping the roof half way through the retraction and pushing the fold out of the way, however this is not ideal.
Has anyone else seen this issue before or have any suggestions? The "˜tension ropes' were replaced by an OPC not too long ago as one had snapped and the other looked to be on the way out, though I can't be certain the events are related. I did ask them after I noticed the problem and they couldn't offer any explanation.
I've taken some photos to hopefully demonstrate the issue, though it is not the easiest part of the car to photograph. The first photo shows the fold covering the catch, the second shows roughly were the roof should be.
Thanks in advance, Martin
