I am selling my 944 at the mo, and have an Australian chap interested in it, but he is keen to know the build date. I have the VIN, is there any on line info on how to find this out?
or best to call OPC?

The ozzies are now buying a few up due to the cost of Pork over there and the favourable exchange rate with UK Sterling, the last 2 Silverose cars from Gmund went over to Perth, a friends 911 3.2 SC ended up there as well as a BMW E30 M3 that used to be local to me.
If you have a deal, factor in the buggeration of export as the car will need most of the fluids drained to be shipped.

Off the top of my head, I dont think that any Cabs were built in RHD before the cut off date, and only a handful of LHD cars were built.

Worth taking care with this...my S2 was first registered Jan 1992. I obtained a certificate of authenticity from Porsche via PCGB, and was surprised to see that build date was some time in 1990!! This was just after the Black Monday stock market crash, so I guess some cars hung around waiting for buyers?

Q: What's the difference between a pigeon and a stockbroker?
A: A pigeon can leave a deposit on a Porsche...

(Period joke)
