Breakfast meets.

A few of us met up for "a very spur of the moment" breakfast yesterday. As we chatted about anything and everything I thought it would be good if any of our members could recommend their favorite places throughout the region. We could start moving around the area and meeting up with others who would like to join in with the good old R3 craic over a coffee & a butty.
No need to worry about getting the car out and road salt, just take your daily driver and meet up if you wish, keeping the quiet part of the season ticking over, though as the weather improves it'll be a great excuse to get the cars out. It may also be an opportunity for new members to join in so when visiting your first club night you don't feel like you are a stranger.

 
I feel a bit like Julie Andrews - "These are a few of my favourite things" - --- or places, as it were - and in no particular order:
1.*Black sheep Brewery, Masham. 2.*High Force Hotel, Middleton in Teessdale. 3. Cowshill Hotel, Weardale. 4. *The Black Bull Moulton(nr Scotch Corner).
5 *Swinton Park Hotel, nr Masham. 6.*Kings Head, Ravenstonedale. 7.Rose and Crown, Romaldkirk. 8. *Tan hill pub, Tan Hill (highest Pub in England).
9. Carpenters Arms - Felixkirk . 10. The Feathers Hotel, Helmsely. 11. *Lumley Castle, Chester le Street. 12. Bowes Museum, Barnard Castle. 13.* Fat Lamb Inn, Crossbank, Kirkby Stephen.14. *CB Inn, Arkengarthdale. 15. Boars Head, Ripley. 16. Three Horse Shoes, Leamside, Durham.17. Kings Head, Masham.
* = really nice venues to meet due to locations.

As we are fairly local to most people we can go anywhere. Here are few anyway.

The Lamp Room - Seaham
Rhubarb and Custard - Seaham
The Marina (various coffee shops) - Seaham
The Roker Hotel (Let There Be Crumbs) - Sunderland (A number of us already know this place)
