We're making a pit stop at the Groes Inn for a pre-prom breakfast on the way to join R6 for Porsches on the Prom in Llandudno on Sunday 28th. Some of our fellow club members are staying at the Groes overnight on Saturday so we'll be in good company.

If you'd like to join us for breakfast (and are not staying overnight), please let us know via this thread. We've promised to confirm numbers to the Groes a week before the event. Please also confirm any special dietary requirements so we can let the Groes know this too.

A few important points to note :-

- Breakfast is £15 per person, includes cereal, fruit, toast, full english(welsh) breakfast (vegetarians can be catered for)

- 07:30am - meet at Hartshead Moor Services Westbound (between J26 and J25 of M62)

- 07:45am - leave services

- 09:45am - arrive Groes Inn (approx)

- 10.45am - leave Groes Inn and head down to Llandudno Prom (approx 15-20 mins)

- We'll send out some route notes to all who confirm for breakfast, we'll be taking the most direct route to the Groes as not enough time for a scenic drive

- The address of the Groes Inn is - Tyn y Groes, Conwy, North Wales LL32 8TN

See you there, will be part of the bleary eyed welcoming committee, none of whom will have had a post track day celebratory pint or two the night before [;)]

What's the weather forecast Michael?
Jane is off to a reunion in Leeds so Dan and I may be interested (as it's my turn to cook Sunday dinner again!)

John

Hi John.

Sorry mate, I can't forecast two and a bit weeks ahead. We are hoping for hot weather and beautiful sunshine like we had last year. Scorching T-shirt wearing weather.

Check out last year's photos.

Mike

There will be a group of Porsches from Harrogate joining you at the services for the drive over, but not expecting breakfast.

Real shame I have family stuff on, could be a good day out.

Just a reminder about Sunday, we're meeting at Hartshead Moor services (westbound) at 7.30am for the drive over to the Groes.

Anyone not signed up but still interested, PM me for a copy of the directions and let me know if you want breakfast so that I can amend the booking.

Cheers.

Mike

I would, but Dan doesn't do breakfast
May just grab a coffee and fresh orange and catch up at the prom with chippies!

Looking forward to it Mike

Well done to Lisa & Michael and the organisers of Porsches on the Prom

The route this year was more direct Mike, but last years off roadiing was much more exciting. [;)] well done Lisa the organisation was first class. Breakfast and the setting is something special

See you all Wednesday

Steve

Very enjoyable.
Thanks to Mike and Lisa for organising.
Dan and I also loved the fish 'n chips at Wetherspoons!
I understand nearly 200 cars this year - congratulations R6 for breaking last year's record.
Pity about the drizzle on the way home, but nice cuppa "Yorkshire" tea on my return.

Another enjoyable day out, thanks to all of you who joined us at the services for the convoy over, glad breakfast at the Groes went down well. Also great to have Rob & Liz and Paul & Jane join us for the drive from the Groes to the promenade, that made 9 R7ers in total, plus a few more were already lined up when we got there.

Fabulous turn out for the event, R6 must be chuffed to bits.

Here's a link to our pics, not up to the usual standard I'm afraid, we were in such great company didn't have time or inclination to take any more. Paul was on the ball and got us together for a group shot, look forward to seeing it, Paul.

Hi Mike,

Saw your lovely C4S on the prom and had a look at the pipes! Look great but really wanted to hear them!! Maybe next time?!

Cheers Chris

Hi Chris

I'm pretty sure that if you head back to the land of our fathers next weekend., and, if you listen hard enough, You may still hear the beautiful sound echoing round the valleys!
