Spare parade lap places can be bought on the day

The format and rules of Parade Laps:
These will be 4 or 5 laps at a brisk pace set by the pace car, taking about 15 minutes including on and off lap)
There will be NO overtaking, and NO holding back to give yourself room. A second pace car may follow at the rear.
No helmets may be worn, since safety will not be in issue. Only driver and front seat passengers are allowed.

What to do when you arrive
1. Show your coloured pass for the Register Parking Area and drive and park there (it's near the Kentagon building). Most Registers will have a gazebo and flag erected there. This car park is very convenient to move on to the circuit, but if full, then an overflow area will be provided.
2. Signing on (passengers also) will be under the direction of Eoin Sloan at the gazebo near the entrance to the Register Parking "" info on exact location and opening times to follow. You will need your drivers license and will receive a wristband (different colours for driver and passenger). Check that the Parade Lap session times haven't altered!

How do you get on to the track?
45 mins before the session start return to your car in the Register Parking. You will be guided to leave the park and assemble at the entry to the track underpass by PCGB stewards. Detailed info to follow.

After the Parade Lap session
The pace car will lead the line off the circuit, return to the Register Parking (perhaps the space you left from)

Hope this is helping to ease peoples concerns.

You can still buy tickets direct from Brands Hatch at the pre-event price of £19.95. Tickets at the gate will be £25.

Remember you can reach me on my mobile no. in the letter I sent with the passes Look forward to meeting everyone at what promises to be a fabulous occasion.

Just want to say it was great to meet all you SC owners who arrived at the register parking, perhaps a pity we couldn't have a better gazebo ie one that didn't keep trying to escape skywards very time you turned your back......and some catering of our own.....dream on I guess. Hope you got home ok Martin and Nicki , don't worry about the spacers and.....I've forgotten your name with the Casablanca Beige SC please could you email me the no of Coles bodyshop as I lost the scrap of paper it was written on. We will meet up again next big event I hope, I thought the parade laps were a blast and quicker than I expected.

Hello Bones
Car looked good I did not get a chance to come over and say hello as it started to rain and we were going back to the car for some snap. The Porsche only car park was nice.
I thought for £25 that there could have been a bit more racing. The Le Mans cars were very impressive. The traders werre not giving much away but there is no telling what they were charged for a pitch. Porsche main stand was a bit lacking no 997 well done Camtune though. Thought the Carrera GT was great and nice to see it being used/abused.
I also went on Friday up until lunch break to watch the track day which was spoilt by the rain. Some were giving it what for but some just seemed to be posing a bit.
First festival all in good but needed more racing for me for the money.
Baz

Sorry I missed this Baz, it's my understanding that things came together a little late in the day. Perhaps if we have an event on this scale again we should have a dedicated team , not necessarily office based to organise it. I thought for a first attempt it was very good but could have been better in all the areas mentioned all over this forum. The traders area looked cheap - horses for courses in some cases I think - but the Historic display was the crowning glory in my opinion and that was just superb, really worth seeing and great to see it overssen by a real character in the personage of Eion Sloan. Catch up with you at the Ace maybe?

Its a bit late now for my comments on the Brands Porsche Festival. I did enjoy the day (Monday) but was disappointed no boot/ autojumble took place, and found the traders - those who made the effort to attend, somewhat uninteresting. Excellent stand with Roger Bray Restoration I thought. Do we know what the traders had to pay? Certainly if I had a business with glossy adverts in the Porsche Post I would want to show my face to readers and customers alike. It's just good will. I expect the lack of traders was purely down to cost. A display of cars in their areas easily covers the ground but I would like to see what services these people claim to offer. I feel SC and earlier car owners would rather see good accessories/repair/repaint/renovation skills than a tent of recent 911's. I wanted to put my feelings to the Head Office at Moreton over the phone line but was told to write, however time has raced by and its all forgotten.
I was pleased to see Bones watching over the SC area when he wasn't taking to the circuit. The interesting chats always come too late in the day.

Hi Mike nice to see you dropping in here, I agree with you about the stands generally and I was really surprised by the lack of attendance of some of the Porsche specialists. When you think of the money they take from us Porsche owners it only common courtesy and surely good business sense to be there. Now that everybody knows what's involved if we do it again next year then we can do it better.
