Does anyone here know the expected replacement costs of brake pads for a 992.1 GTS ('23 MYR). Do I go with an OPC (MOT due end of month) or independent such as Carr Motorsports? Warning lights first appeared last night, does this mean my pads are 75% worn etc? Many thanks.

Brake Pads Lights On

Lights came on with my 987.2 Boxster fronts a 5 years ago. The friction material thickness was alarmingly thin, but all 4 pads equal and worn nice and even (ie callipers are good).
Replace the lot (discs/pads/sensors) asap. Use a good brand, and imho road spec parts if a simple road car.
I did mine myself as it is very simple and quick, so an indie will be even quicker.
This way you get the full 'as-new' brake performance. New pads, old discs never a good idea.
You might even consider a fluid change if the time is due soon.
I used Brembo parts and once run in the braking was the same (!) as the old, but hard braking much improved. Run them in carefully.
The rears were the same 30K miles later.

Thank you gentlemen, sound advice. Unfortunately, I don't have the skills of 911hillclimber to do it myself, so the wallet will take a beating.
Booked into OPC for end of month to coincide with MOT, will have to drive like a sloth for 3 weeks in the meantime.
