Brake clonking noise

Craigybaby

Morning folks, after some advice please;
I'm getting a small clonking noise when breaking at low revs in first or second gear, doesn't seem to be affecting breaking performance, but something must be up as it didn't used to do that. My ears are localising it to the rear offside.
Any ideas please?
Regards, craig

Is the noise still made with the clutch engaged or does it only make the noise upon applying the brakes?

It could be one of the brake backing plates has finally rusted through its mounting point and is rattling around a bit.

Alternatively if it is definitely the rear it is always worth checking the handbrake retaining springs inside the rear hub. They occasionally snap and rattle around inside
