When I had a Boxster I used to get lots of hand signals from others drivers, I was never let in at junctions and was generally treated with contempt on the road. Three years on and with a Cayman S, the attitude of other drivers couldn't be more different. Plenty of 'thumbs up' gestures instead of the more rude ones, let in at junctions and generally treated a lot more respectfully by other drivers.
