Boot Tidy, what do people use?

New 987.2 Boxster owner here, and wondering what people use in the relatively shallow rear boot to house the useful car stuff such as spare oil, screenwash, cloths etc.....

Do people just use squash bags such as sports holdalls, or is there other boot tidy's which fit?

Thanks

What little I carry for “spares” is in the front in the cubby holes. Oil lives in the Velcro mounted pouch in the boot I think. I don’t carry screen wash in the car, big container of that in the garage. . Just some fuses and bulbs. A torch. Bottle of water and the oil, and some jacking pads just in case I end up with a recovery that aren’t that well equipped to raise the car. Charged boost pack In the storage bins on the “parcel” shelf along with a couple of hi vis vests.

Thanks, I

will probably be similar in the sort of stuff, although I always have a coat and hat in case things get a bit windy :)

I get all those 'essentials' bar the coats in the front cubby hole, the one with 2 'doors' and the contents are really what you would use on a good trip.

In the rear boot slipping around are a spare plug top coil in it's box, a battery powered inflator and a big umbrella.

Putting coats in the rear (gets them warm) stops everything moving as you use it as a blanket.

Being a bit OCD (my garage is immaculate) I love this sort of thing. There are black plastic PORSCHE boot liners available fore and aft - perhaps try eBay. These are worthwhile in case of spillages etc. I use a quality black sports bag in the rear boot for oil, pump, de-icer, cloths etc. This can be quickly removed if needs be. Empty shopping bags live in the front boot. You can get an amazing amount of stuff in. Maps etc live in a black leather briefcase behind the seat, as does a hi-viz jacket and wet weather gear. If you do not have 14-way or 18-way seats you can get a lot of stuff underneath the seats as well. I am looking forward to packing for a road trip one day!

Tried replying to this ages ago but wasn’t allowed due to platform redesignating me as guest thereby restricting ability to post stuff.

So Dave, I think soft holdalls offer best flexibility but Porsche do a lightweight crate or you can go silly expensive with classic bag or one of those cheap Chinese things. Pic attached.
Cheers
Andy (original pic was only 3.8mb but still wouldn’t upload. Keep having to chop images to allow 😞)

Or you could splash out £4.99 at lidl and get one with velcro on the back and underside. Also has an internal partition. Fits perfectly in the boot and almost perfectly in the frunk. Not certain if there are any left now though....20240205_140538.jpg
