hiya,,had a stroke of luck,,popped to my local specialist who have been looking after my s2 for over 4years on sat for my loose wing mirror and after a chat,,my car will go in tommorow to have every panel painted and any rust or potential rust issues for the future addressed and headlining replaced [as long as no nastys are found,re sills]if unable to have headlining sorted this time then a trip down to bournemouth to see elliot asap,,
very happy about the work being carried out and with no mention of sills after 4 years of mots at the same mot bay i hope that sills will be reasonably ok but will deal with any potential nastys,,very important i get her back in time for our garage day,,if a problem then i will put her in after garage day,,cheers jason p

thanks greg,,not a windows out job but will look much better with the panels matched lol look forward to meeting you soon,,regards jason p

oh not she dont!! as my car would have been away for our garage day,,have now booked her in for the monday after our garage day,,looks like i should get her back within two weeks of her going in,,have asked them to go over her completely and remove any signs of rust or potential rust before she is painted,,,cheers jason p

Great to see you sending the car in with an open attitude to what might need doing. I think proper bodyshops like to have a bit of flexibility, and mine was certainly worth the extra effort of seeing it every day, and working with them as to how best to work with my budget. Or, work with no budget, lol!

thanks for the support paul!,,i have made rust treatment and prevention the priorty and its re-assuring to know that i can pop down anytime,
,i had a stroke of luck and as already mentioned it wont be a "daytona windows out jobbie" but she should be ok for many years after the recent load of mechanical work done at tower and then the bodywork sorted, on top of all the other very big jobs that have been carried out in the last 15k miles,
i really cant see me ever letting her go,,its amazing how attached one can get! leaving her at tower was like waving a loved one off from the airport or train station lol,,regards jason p
