Hi, my 911sc coupe will be going in for a strip down and respray at the end of the year. When I receive it back, all the trim, rubbers, light lenses etc i have no doubt will look old and tired. I’m assuming it would be cheaper to buy the various bits direct from Germany. Therefore does anyone have ideas of who/ where to buy these bits ? Not going in for another 6 months or so and will take a few months to do the work. So I think I have a year to start collecting all the bits.

many thanks

Hi,
From my experience I have found that ordering from Germany or the EU is not any cheaper.
Ordering parts from UK suppliers with Porsche club discount, often 10%, is good value an better on delivery charges.

Ordering from the USA in the old days with the good exchange rate used to be good but not any more.

Interesting to see if anyone has found good deals in the EU,
Rich

Hi Rich,

Thanks for your reply. That will save me a fair bit of time not looking at overseas suppliers.
Will concentrate on good Blighty.

Thanks

My recent experience, albeit not for Porsche is that importing from the EU is no longer economical due to the new tax treatments / duties
