Blyton Park Track Day 8 September

A big thank you for organising a fantastic day, thanks also to Gavin, Gwaine, & the other long suffering instructor (sorry didn't get your name)
As you know I was very apprehensive about my first track day, even more so when I saw how wet the weather was to start. Boy did I learn how my Boxster handled in very slippery conditions! Thanks to Gavin for your very valuable tuition. As the track dried so the smile widened! Thanks again all concerned.

Thank you, and glad you enjoyed it, I must admit I was worried about the weather, but as ever the forecast was wrong so it dried up during the morning for the rest day, as opposed to the rain continuing [
]. We are lucky to have excellent instructors, Nick is the one you can't remember.

Forgot to say in my previous comment that highlight of the day was Steve Newton's 93 year old father going for a passenger ride with Steve! Well done sir!

Yes, and Steve set off very steadily, but was soon nearly up to his usual rate of knots!! His Dad said he thought he would only want a couple of laps, but they stayed out longer because he was enjoying it so much. Thanks for the reminder - stuff of nightmares for organisers, not to mention the poor marshals (I did a lot of race marshalling so I know!!) - you know its going to be bad when the signing on form offers reduced membership of the RNLIMotorhead said:

Changed permissions on Flikr to public domain non-commercial, so should download.
Boxster was sorted Friday evening, Flamborough and Sewerby today, see you next year.

Had a great day, really enjoyed the wet start
Great event, as usual. It's a mystery to me why more folk don't attend. I chose not to drive, for once, but still turned up in the afternoon to have a look. Thanks to my friend Steve (Boxster 3.2S) and Mick (green 964) for the very enjoyable passenger laps.
Steve's previous experience racing karts clearly surfaced and Mick and his well sorted (KW3s, C of G) are obviously a well matched pair. Mick is very modest and doesn't usually welcome passengers so I am doubly grateful. Both cars were very different but equally impressive and very obviously 'Porsche', if you know what I mean. Many similarities; quick, solid, agile, fun...
It's only now that I realise that the chap I spoke to with a 3.2 Supersport was Mark Jessop! If only I could get on your mailing list...

Thanks Rod for another great event.
Wet then drying out. Perfect to go faster and faster, and learn the limits in 'real' conditions.
Andrew, again, fantastic pictures. Really appreciated especially in the wet. Shame there was not more, but their loss was our gain for the frequent run outs.
