Bluetooth Pairing on PCM

Apologies if this has been done before, but has anyone had problems getting a blackberry to connect to the PCM phone via bluetooth?

If so, did you find a solution - and what was it?

Hi Peter - I think probably has been done before but here's what I know. PCM 3 can be set, by the OPC, to one of two modes - HFP or SAP. The first, hands free profile, means that you phone will connect via bluetooth to the PCM and you will have limited features available but the car's mic and speakers will do the hands free bit. If it is set to SAP, Sim Access Profile, then the PCM takes over all the functions - phonebook, messaging etc by linking to the sim card so you don't need to touch the phone for anything. Sadly very few phones other than Nokia have SAP. I don't think the info here

My Blackberry 9700 connects to PCM 3 over SAP (or what I assume to be SAP in that all I have to do is confirm on the Blackberry that I will allow PCM connection and thereafter there is no need to touch the phone). So you should be able to connect yours. However, the set up was not done by me but by OPC at handover so I can offer no better suggestion other than dropping in at your local OPC...or ask any passing 5 year old kid.

Had my BlackBerry/PCM connection set up by my OPC. Only took 5 minutes but still didn,t work. They said I'd probably not downloaded any updates to the phone software for a long time; which was true. Sure enough when I checked and updated it, it now works a treat. Perhaps just check that if you are still having problems.

Thanks everyone - I've already tried the "passing 5 year old" solution (well teenage son) and that didn't work, so it looks like a trip to the OPC is in order. Knew I shouldn't have ditched the old Nokia!
