Hi,

A couple of questions. I'm thinking of buying a 968 and owning it for 18 to 24 months. If I care about depreciation, which models / specs/ colours hold their values best and are easiest to sell on ? I'm minded to get a Sport as I won't be tracking the car but have had it suggested that low mileage CS's are the best to own if depreciation is a consideration.

I did spot the captioned 968 on Pistonheads and it seems to have an unusual spec as its a Sport with air-con and leather sports seats. Trouble is that the VIL doesn't have the options codes listed. Is it a common problem for there to be missing option codes from the VIL sticker ? The first owner was Porsche GB so I'm guessing it may have some kind of show car.

Any help generally on what to shoot for will be appreciated. If indeed anyone knows about the history of the captioned car even better. There's no rush and I can be patient in my search so I'm trying to figure out what the optimal spec is.

Thanks

Henry

It looks very nice.

It says it has been serviced by Hartch (in Bolton) since 1998. That is a good sign as Hartech are very well respected 944/968 experts. It would be worth taking to Hartech (with the owner's permission) about what work has been done over the years. The ads says he is based in Bristol, so he has travelled a long way to get it serviced.......
