Bit of a missfire on a Boxster S 3.2 986 2001 manual - Plugs and ingition coils ???

Guys,
I have a bit of a missfire on the old Porsche, 2001 Boxster S 3.2 Manual.
I'm leaning towards the ignition coils need to look to replace one, or replace the set!

That's where I need some help.
Should I go with Porsche OEM at £56?
Or Beru at £27?
Significant saving.

And if I go as far and replace the plugs, should I go for Porsche at £19 each?
Or Bosch at £5.50?

Ay thoughts?

Just replace the faulty coil pack and leave the plugs. That will save loads of money.Then see how it goes. Did that with my 996 and got another 30 k miles without further problems.
However, I do live in Yorkshire.????
 
Both Beru and Bosch are suppliers to Porsche.
Porsche charge extortionally for their brand and packaging.
They make their cars from manufacturers parts bins.
 
Buy Beru from Car Parts 4 Less, the online (and always cheaper) branch of Euro Car Parts. Great mail-order service, OEM parts at significantly reduced prices. I'm planning on doing mine this spring, I'll replace all six and the plugs (while I'm in there) but only because the plugs are due a change.
 
Hi, i have a boxster 3.4 987 2007 manual. i have misfire on one piston.do you think it could be the ignition power pack.??
ive bought 6 from euro parts at a good price.Does anyone know if its a staight forward job.??

Quick update.
6 Beru Ignition coils purchased from CarParts4Less.
Going to have a go at replacing all 6 coils this Saturday, weather permitting.

Ordered the new BERU ignition cloils for the Boxster from CarParts4Less.
Removed the first coil and this didn't look too bad. Very minor cracks.
Coil 2 bad cracks at the top.
Coil 3 bad cracks and around the screw mount hole.
Coil 4 bad cracks
Coil 5 more bad cracks
Coil 6 cracks again
Needless to say, swapped all 6 coils.
Fired the car up and went for a quick test ride.
And I have to say the car was unbelievable. Felt like a new car. So smooth and very responsive.
Back to what I was expecting from a Porsche.
For some odd reason as well, coil 1 and coil 4 had the very bottom rubber removed where it mates with the plug. Thought this was still attached to the pl;ug but wasn't as I removed the 2 plugs to check and both came out perfectly.
Plugs only replaced in May 2019 so were still looking perfectly good.
So, all in all, a great weekend. £200 on parts, 4 hours of my own labour and a brand new car. All worth it.

Did you get chance to do your ignition coils this weekend? A good dry weekend for working on the car.
I did mine and all's good now. A completely new car.
