Bilstein B6 inserts

Hi, can anybody with Bilstein B6 Sport shock inserts confirm if they are adjustable?

Finding specs and features is impossible!

Thanks

I believe that B6s arent adjustable. However, I also thought that theyre were complete units, not inserts. Telephone Design 911 - they sell them and should be able to answer all of your queries.

When youve found out will you post here?

I have them in my 85 Lux. They are designed for standard ride height and they are not adjustable. Mine are also inserts. Not sure whether the 86 struts are the same as the 85 though.

They are not adjustable. They work just great and imho are far better than Konis.

I had some late struts modified for Bilsteins

Yes. Only pre 87 struts have threaded collars.

Late struts can be modifed quite easily. I have a S2/968 and a 944/951 set available on exchange basis.

Olli,

How much would you want for a set of those modified struts, including postage to the UK? (On an exchange basis, of course - so I would send you my set of old struts.)

Oli.

No-one ever mentions coil over sleeves so I thought I would?

Threaded sleeves that convert fixed struts to height adjustable coilovers.

I think I still have a couple lurking in my garage somewhere.

Paul do the coil over adaptor sleeves fit a 1986 220 turbo ? - for sale ?

I believed that the threaded collars were post 87 Mo30?? but consider they will however there is a slight strut modification needed to seat the collars.

I only have the collars (brand new) and not the perch or locking ring - part ref 951.343.521.00 - the collar is 54mm ID with a notch to fit onto a protruding 'pin' on the strut as per the photo below (its not my photo).

I might have my old Mo30 lying around somewhere (I fitted KW) I cant remember if I ever got around to selling it [8|]
