Best front brake discs for the 968

We have had another great track day today in my 968, v v impressed with it.

I think there is a little too much vibration in the front discs so am thinking of changing them for new before our Donnington day in March.

What are the best discs to run with MO30 for a track special/race car that people think please?

Standard Porsche supplied solid discs,if your old ones are not worn get them skimmed perhaps,good to have as spares.
 
The solid front discs from a 928S4...[but get the Porsche ones, not aftermarket],, they are the same size as the drilled M030 discs without the holes....And a lot cheaper than drilled ones...
 
Methinks you may need to look at this from a different angle
- what pads are you running, if something hard like Pagid yellows, that maybe the source of your issues
- have the wheel bearings been checked? IMO they need checking/adjusting every full trackday.
- have the discs been checked for correct seating with a dial gauge.

Finally, with due deference to Dave, I have used the absolute cheapest plain 928 S4 discs from ECP and had long life and no issues when racing.
 
Just thought of 2 other things, seeing as you believe it is a problem on one side only. Are the brake cooling ducts working properly? Have you checked for plate lift on the calipers? A sticking pad from plate lift can cause excess heat .....

Something else that might be causing judder,,, pad transfer, ie a build up of brake pad material on the disc.... I seem to remember you had this Paul...
 
I went for EBC discs and pagid blues and changed the wheel bearings and all seems very good now
