After one of those all afternoon cleaning sessions.

Thank you to Simon (A8 SPY) for the nice comment on my Peridot Green GT4. I previously owned a Peridot Green Cayman R (like yours) which was a lovely car and always slightly regretted selling it....I even saw it a Simply Porsche last year looking immaculate. I love the colour and always wanted a GT4...then I saw the car I now own which the then owner had supplied new to him with the rather expensive paint to sample option...in Peridot Green. As far as I know it's the only GT4 in this colour in the UK. We got talking (as you do) and we did a private sale in the new year when he got a new 911. The only shame now is that with current restrictions it's in the garage under cover and on a battery conditioner rather than being used.

Cheers - Paul

here are a couple of action shots of my 718

Very impressed with Paul GT4, it was the colour that caught my eye when I picked up my CS from service that made me change. The transition from Manual to PDK was an interesting experience.

Thanks Simon. My CR was PDK which was good on track days but I missed the engagement of a driving with a manual gearbox on the road. Peridot Green is a bit a marmite colour...many love it, but not all. GT4 hits the spot for me right now. Just hoping that restrictions get lifted enough so I can do a planned track day.

One of many photographs from my NC500 trip in May ‘19, this particular one taken at Fainmore, Garve, on the A832 between Auchindrean and Dundonnell.

987 Cayman S that I used to own & what makes my picture unusual is my car has a Porsche FS Mountain bike upon it roof.

Teesdale in February 2015. I see I've ended up with two pics (like some others before me). Maybe I need to read the 'help with photos stuff'...

Looking at the page source code, there is a

failed link to https://www.flickr.com/ph...-2iQFMPq-pmUDY4-m7LcRV

and another copy of the same image (this is displayed) loaded up onto the Porsche site with the PCGB watermark.

I realise you will have tried the several ways of loading images but let me just run through the basics for others. In the top bar of the "Reply" frame i.e the one I am typing in as I write this, you will see one row starting with B and the last is Font Size drop down. On the second row, you will see a happy emoji and the last a tiny picture frame with a + sign.

Click on this tiny picture frame with a + sign and it will return a small new window "Image URL" Enter your flickr url link* into the box i.e. as I am about to do click on Insert and that's it save for any extra text you want to add.

* HOWEVER none of the Share urls offered by Flickr worked directly so I tried various versions until I found one that worked. I used the url "https://live.staticflickr...9c5c92b4d_5k.jpg" which is a truncated version of the BBCode offered by Flickr "Share" menu as below.

You can check what you've done by pressing Preview.

I have no idea why the Flickr Share option urls don't seem to work but hopefully someone more used to Flickr can come along and provide better advice than I can.

NB the Flickr urls displayed above will not work if you click on them - another oddity.

I use postimage.org which is a walk in the park.

Simon,

If you just want to display a single image the easiest way to do it is to use the Open Full Version option (next to Quick Reply) which opens a new window in which you can Upload file(s) to the server. Note that you can only upload 1 file with a max size of 1500kB.

Jeff

From Anglesey in 2018. Went back there in 2019, and am very sad that it was meant to be again this month but has been postponed. ☹️
