Just a quick thankyou to you Peter for a really great day, very enjoyable (parking was so organised, amazing) yet again an event well worthy of the Porsche badge, and your reputation.

Well done to all the concours cars, especially you Ivor, brilliant effort, I think if there was a prize for the ability of polishing cars in the dark you are number one, as I understand you didn' t finish until well into night, great job.

As for you John I didn' t think you could get such a shine on paintwork, must be all that sponsorship from Incero, a Peter.

The Speedster was just spotless, (especially the wheels, Ann), and the 993 I thought was going to be the winner, still maybe next year.

Thanks Allan

You of course forget to mention yourself and others who manned the gate for the day. An essential but thoroughly boring task!! (just building it up for next year).

From where I was standing the willing volunteers were:-

Allan and family (sorry, should know their names!)
Ivor and Elaine
Glen and Anne
Ges and family
The Monnery Clan

Many thanks for you support and I promise I' ll ask again next year!!

Hi everyone,
Well, Peter said " enter the Concours it' s not serious, and you will enjoy the experience" . So what did I do? Spent most of the previous day washing and polishing, including I might say the INSIDE of the wheels. Got it all dirty again on the way down the A22, and did it all over again. Jacqui and I had a wonderful day, made lots of visitor friends, may even have helped Rivervale get a customer for a second-hand Boxster. Didn' t win anything, didn' t really expect to, but I did become competitive, and it became serious!!
happy motoring, see you soon, John aka Boadacea 2002

Thanks Peter no doubt you will ask, and no doubt we will say yes!
Its all about the taking part John, I didn' t realise you had a competitive killer instinct in you. []Still there' s always next year.

Regards
Allan & Kim

[:D] Thanks Allan - The preparation for our first concours was not quite what I had intended but it seemed to come good on the day. At least there' s a visible result for one' s efforts. I was trying to bask in the reflected glory of parking next to Glen & Anne' s speedster, but it didn' t work very well (despite Glen' s sterling efforts on the seats and interior of our car - thanks Glen)

Many thanks to Peter for getting the weather right this year, it was an excellent day.

We' ve lost our virginity at lease three times already this year, is this a club record ! First the WOTY, then a concours (in order to satisfy Peter' s desperate need) and now we are contributing to an online forum (but at least it' s a worthwhile one !).

See you all at the Rivervale BBQ. Don' t forget to book the weather Peter !

Regards
Ivor & Elaine Heading :ROFLMAO:
