Well, Im stood in front of my desk typing this reply, wearing my OMP helmet. Im giving it a little head time to wear it in a little. Its giving me hamster cheeks though, so I may bring my Arai instead (full face, no comedy jowls).

Cadwell and Oulton Park for me.

I'm thinking if we do another 944 track day it's going to be either of these too, give those up north a chance to attend aswell.

Theyre both very pretty. Cadwell is narrow but the Mountain is epic. Oulton is wider and faster but the back of the circuit can 2be treacherous.

Id choose Oulton I think. Both because it would suit more people and because I have a strong family connection withthe curcuit (my paternal grandfathers ashes were spread around the lodge).

I need more time at Oulton - apparently druids is a fast corner - I think I just go too slow...[]. It always seems to be damp at that point and the knowledge of what happens if you get it wrong slows me down.

coppice is my favourite bend at cadwell - fully committed 100mph uphill lefthander - turn in and hang on....

the speed differential between novice and experienced drivers at cadwell is more pronounced than on most I think. This is partly the narrowness of the track and also the gradient changes. Oulton is also quite tricky. For a group outing the better option is Donington.
