Battery trickle charger for 987.2

I live in central London so plugging in a conditioner is not an option - what is the make of you solar one? I'm going to use my 987 most weekends but if it snows it might get left for a while!

Hiya,
I bought a CTEK MX 3.8, the instructions are a bit unclear so a quick question. To charge a Boxster 987.2 do I simply connect the red clamp to the positive pole and black to the negative. The instructions say:
Connect the black clamp to the vehicle chassis remote from the fuel pipe and the battery
Can I ignore this? My profession is technical writing so IMHO the instructions could be improved a tad!
Ta in advance,
Andy

Not sure I would want a lead anywhere near a fuel pipe!!

CTEK has a lead that can be connected to the battery. This can then be put somewhere accessible and charger can be plugged into it.
Forget crocodile clips with CTEK use the correct lead. I had two cars so just bought another battery connector - until I realised how easy the cigarette option is
Mains lead and CTEK are waterproof so can hang out of car
Still think that where it is possible connection to the Auxiliary /cigarette lighter and the lead goes out through door
Solar sound brilliant but still needs lead to battery
