Thanks, is there a standard battery for the 992 or does it vary depending on spec?I would think that it will be labelled something like LiFePO4 if it’s a lithium battery?

Thanks Jeff, i did ask the Porsche dealer - they didn’t know - waiting for the call back !I can’t say for certain but I would have thought that top of the range models like the 992 Turbo S and GT3/GT3 RS would have lithium-ion batteries, with the majority of the range having AGM batteries.
You local Porsche dealer should be able to provide you with the information.

My only other thought is that the lithium-ion battery could be fitted if you have power-hungry options fitted, individually or in combination; Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control, rear-axle steering and front-end lift being examples?

RAS has Li, but PDCC and FAL do not.Rather typical of the dealers I’m afraid.

i used this myself to ensure correct Ctek charger for my 992 GTS4 with Lithium Battery LiFePO4.

The Car does have the front axle lift, rear steer, sun roof, heated seats etc.
